I loved this skirt when it first appeared in the catalog on the spring. My measurements leaned toward a size Large, but it said "order your normal size", which is US 12 or Medium. I ordered the Medium but after wearing it twice I realized that it was impossibly tight and kept riding up. I was thrilled when it appeared in the Sale list in June, and ordered a Large. The waist of the Large is about 4 inches larger than the waist of the Medium, which does correspond to the measurements in the size guide. But now I have to pin two folds in the waist so the skirt doesn't fall down. I still like the skirt as it is a lovely pattern and fabric, and I will probably stitch the pleats that are now pinned in the waistband. But maybe skirts should come in individual sizes if there is that much difference between Medium and Large.
